As the world commemorated the 80th anniversary of victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany, Indonesia paid tribute through the universal language of cinema. In Jakarta, RT and @rusdomindo in Indonesia hosted a screening of "The Cranes Are Flying" - a 1957 Soviet classic and Cannes Palme d'Or winner - inviting students, bloggers, and diplomats to witness a rarely seen perspective of World War II through the lens of Soviet cinema.
